With a generous capacity and beautiful interior, the church is ideal for concerts and conferences. The stage area at the front of the church can comfortably fit a chamber group of six musicians. With the stage extension added (at an extra charge) the increased stage area can accommodate a seated 30-piece band. A motorised projector screen is permanently installed at the back of the stage, ready for presentations, and a data projector is available to hire.

Adjacent to the main church sanctuary we have a beautiful chapel that can seat up to 40 people.
The main feature of the Mackay Chapel is the magnificent Aitken stained glass windows depicting the Last Supper. The windows were made in Edinburgh in 1903 and lived in a church in Campbeltown, Scotland until it was demolished and the windows brought to St John’s in New Zealand.
The chapel is the perfect setting for smaller events including weddings, speaking events, musical concerts, or art exhibits. The connected foyer (55 m2) may also be available. Just let us know beforehand what you have in mind and we can go from there.
