Sundays!
The
Youth Group meets on Sunday, 10:00 am to 11:00 am at St John's during
terms time. Usually, some of the time is spent in Church as
part of morning worship.
Who are we?
We are a group of young people between the ages of 11 and 17 who
are interested in knowing more about Jesus Christ, God and the Bible.
Where do we meet?
We meet in our own Youth Group Rooms at St John's in the City, based
in Spinks Cottage. It has a pool table as well as lounges
used for studies and socialising and we sometimes hang out there
after school to do our homework or to use it as a social meeting
place.
What do we do?
We enjoy hanging out on Sunday mornings between 10:00 and 11:00
am when we do stuff like:
* talking about our understanding of the Bible and our faith;
* taking part in art activities and drama;
What
about weekends away?
Yes
- we do those sometimes and do sleepovers in Wellington too.
What
other events are there?
Every year, including in January 2010, we get a group of about 30
people together and travel to the Parachute Festival Extreme in
Mystery Creek near Hamilton. For details, contact Ryhan on the
phone number above, or email on the Youth Group link above.
