The Group got underway
on 9 February 2010 again for the year with wearable art and pancake
evenings.

The group meets normally every Tuesday at St John’s Centre, 6.00
pm, in two groups:
For girls of all ages,
5 and upwards
Junior Group (aged 5-8)
Tuesdays 6-7pm (during term time
Senior Group (aged 9 and
over) Tuesdays 6.15 - 8pm

Wearable Art
The
Girls' Brigade provides a personal development programme for New
Zealand girls and young women.
Its caring Christian environment encourages the development of each
girl's unique, individual talents. Girls Brigade equips girls
and young women with the social, physical, intellectual and spiritual
qualities necessary to take a vital role in our society.

How old do I have to be to join the Girls Brigade?
We cater for all girls aged between 5 and 18 years of age.
Where
do we meet?
We meet upstairs in the Conference Centre at St John's in the City
where there is a gymnasium, kitchen and other rooms.
Are
there different groups?
Yes.
Juniors are for 5 to 8 years old
Time: 6 pm until 7 pm on Tuesdays during terms normally
Seniors
are for those who are between 9 and 12 years old.
Time: 6:15 to 8:15pm on Tuesdays during terms normally
Pioneers
are for those who are between 13 and 18 years old
Time: 6:15 to 8:15pm on Tuesdays during terms
What
do we do?
You learn about what it means to live a balanced life, grow and
discover your potential, not to mention meeting new friends and
having a whole lot of fun in the process.
Juniors (5-8
years)
Leader: Dianne Little
is in charge of Juniors with Avis Marshall as an
Assistant.
Seniors (9 years
and upwards) and Pioneers (13 years and up)
Leader: Kathy Sutherland
How
much does it cost?
There is an annual fee of $48.00 for being in Brigade. You
can pay $12 per term or $48 up front.
